Sonoma County has it's first confirmed local case of the Brazil Varient of the coronavirus, a strain that is considered twice as transmissible as earlier versions of the virus. The Brazil Varient is just one, along with local cases tied to the UK, and West Coast varients. Dr. Sundari Mase, the County’s Health Officer, said the presence of COVID-19 variants in Sonoma County is expected and should not cause alarm at this small number. (photo courtesy PBS)
